Who is Qvinci Terminal Server For?
Terminal Server (TS) is designed for medium scale deployments in businesses with a single, dedicated server that runs QuickBooks® and Qvinci®.
QuickBooks and Qvinci TS must run on the same hardware in order for a connection to be established. Qvinci TS also runs on XP/Vista in a virtual machine
environment on a Mac.
What Qvinci Terminal Server is Not.
It is not designed as a multi-server or "Typical Hosted Solution". A Hosted Solution would include systems that use a load balancer to distribute traffic through a network.
However, if multiple servers run in a virtual environment so that hardware resources are pooled, then our solution will service that architecture.
What is Qvinci Terminal Server?
TS is a unique Qvinci offering. With one installation using only one license key, TS can service multiple users measured by "seats".
It includes the same add-ons unlocked as Qvinci Pro and we can unlock Extended modules.
TS is not available in Standard or One-Touch SKUs. Unlike Qvinci Desktop, Qvinci TS requires an active internet
connection in order to run. In addition, ensure that Qvinci is allowed through any firewall and that port 80 is not blocked.
How it works
Qvinci TS license works based on a number of “seats”. When a user connects for the first time, their system
username is logged into our database and they fill a seat. A utility is available for System adminsitrators to remove users from their seats. System Adminstrators can
then allow their customers to run Qvinci which will enable their seats which will automaticly assign user a seat.
TS is not available directly through our online shopping cart. Interested parties have to contact our support or management staff to
acquire a TS license. Additional seats can be purchased at any time by contacting customer support. Any additional seats are available
immediately after we process the order. A minimum for TS Deployments are 10 seats. There is no Demo/Trial of TS. To test, purchase is required.
